Designed for our entire foil line the AXIS masts are stiff, strong, and ready for any use and conditions. We designed our masts for 2021 to give our foilers a very direct feeling to their foil which is critical for foiling. We even sourced our own high quality aluminium and bought tons of it, to ensure we only have the highest quality raw materials for our foils. Our masts are 224% stiffer than the 15mm thick masts (most other foils on the market). It's even stiffer and any other carbon mast on the market today. This gives you more control and fast input from your feet to the front wing.
The 450mm foil mast is ideal for your first flights, while you are learning how to start to foil. Most riders spend only a few hours or less on the shortest foil mast we make (450mm) before they graduate to the longer foil masts.
Other mast sizes available:
450mm (15.6 inches)
600mm (23.6 inches)
680mm (26.6 inches)
750mm (29.5 inches)
820mm (32.2 inches)
900mm (35.4 inches)
1050mm (41.3 inches)
16mm masts recommended for wings 910mm and smaller.
AXIS 16mm Mast Plate and 16mm Doodad sold separately.

Whether winging at speed, laying deep carves on a wave face or pumping and linking up swells on a downwinder – AXIS Power Carbon enters a new realm of control and connection between board and foil. It’s the next giant leap in foiling performance.
High aspect foils = higher loads on masts
During early ART foil testing, our research team quickly realized that higher aspect ratios and broader foil spans applied more bending and twisting forces to the mast. So while ART foils were a game-changer even on our existing masts, we knew there was still huge untapped potential to be realized.
And so began a whole new development project, and we couldn’t be more excited at the result. With a new power profile and carefully considered material selection and placement, AXIS Power Carbon delivers both superior stiffness with next-level strength.
Opting for a one-piece design, we avoided the flow/drag and jointing issues associated with multi-part mast constructions.
Additionally and more importantly, testing proves that maximum loading is concentrated close to the baseplate and this is why the mast tapers thicker at this point to handle the loads. Any joins or two-piece construction at this high load area would destroy the integrity of the mast.
A revised fuselage connection design maximizes the size of the attachment point to achieve a perfect fit to the fuselage reducing any chance of unwanted movement.
The result is a positive connected feel, direct drive, immediate feedback and ultimate control. High aspect foils perform as they should, feel and control enter an entirely new realm.
The new High Modulus Carbon fibre used in our mast layup is considerably stiffer and stronger than the regular carbon fibre used in conventional constructions. Innovative, considered and balanced placement of materials in our proprietary production process paired with rigorous testing has delivered a breathtaking performance leap.
Ride characteristics are so game-changing, that it’s been a struggle to get our team riders to return the prototypes after testing!
Feedback featured claims like ‘a way more positive and connected feel’, ‘immediate feedback’ and ‘ultimate control’.
Choose your Power level
Our new masts are available in two models, the Power Carbon and Power Carbon - High Modulus, the latter providing additional strength and 35% more bend resistance than our industry-leading 19mm aluminium mast. The High Modulus will be the mast of choice for the most discerning rider seeking ultimate performance, and heavier riders using our larger span foils.
With AXIS Power Carbon masts, riders will finally be at one with the foil.
AXIS Power Carbon Masts have a new and greatly improved base connection design. While fully compatible with all existing Red & Black fuselage, a new installation technique/method is required, this involves simply inserting the mast leading edge first into the fuselage opening, then rotating the trailing edge down. Removal is done in reverse, trailing edge rotates out first... super simple!
Remember use only 30mm M8 bolts to attach fuselage to Power Carbon masts

The AXIS Progressive Rear Wings are perfectly paired with our HPS, ART, BSC and PNG wings. Mostly flat but with a very subtle downturn, these wings combine excellent speed with sensational turning.
Who are the AXIS Progressive rear wings for?The AXIS Progressive rear wings are all round wings for intermediate and advanced riders paired with higher performance front wings such as HPS, ART, PNG and BSC front wings.
You notice the difference in your first carve or gybe.
Why did we design the AXIS Progressive rear wings? We got super hooked on the locked in, fast, stable feel of the AXIS Speed 380/60 and 420/60 rear wings, and still are for flat water blasting and racing for winging and big, fast waves for foil surfing. But we had a feeling we still had more to give our riders in the turning department. After several iterations and tweaks, the new Progressive rears have delivered it in spades.Medium aspect, with a thin foil section and subtle turned down tips, this new design rolls into the turn beautifully, feels fluid and loose, and also grips through the carve and transitions back out the other side with predictable control and positive acceleration. Even intermediate foilers will notice the difference straight away. It’s super well-behaved in rough winging conditions (just set and forget) and with the thin foil section, it’s still rewardingly quick. The Progressive rear wings will feel like a natural extension of your feet.Riders are finding the Progressive rears pair beautifully with our AXIS ART and AXIS HPS high aspect front wings, and they’ll work very well with any foil for riders looking to improve their turns and carves. As always, size your Progressive rear wing to your experience and front wing size. (larger sizes for less experienced riders and larger front wing pairings)
We obsess over rear wings, almost to the point that it’s a problem. We’ve tried to get professional help but the prototypes just keep getting churned out by our design team on a weekly basis, and we can’t help but test, analyze, pontificate, redesign – and on and on it goes.
You may be thinking – why do rear wings matter? Aren’t they just stabilizers to balance the front wing? Well that’s what many thought too – in the very early days. We know that your rear wing can change your life. Okay that’s not quite true, but it will significantly affect the ride characteristics of your whole foil set up.
Try the AXIS Progressive rear wings and you will immediately know what we are talking about.

The AXIS Progressive 250/56, 275/58 and 300/61 rear wings are performance wings for advanced riders. The excel in tow foiling, prone /SUP foiling and wing foiling, ideally paired with higher performance front wings such as HPS, ART and PNG wings. The main characteristics of these new smaller Progressive rears are, much higher speeds due to lower drag, yet they retain control and can be pushed to perform in extreme situations. Our team riders are raving about how well balanced and confidence-inspiring the new small Progressive wings are. The speed, control, turning ability and grip for their size is incredible. There is however a small penalty to pump ability as size decreases. So how do you use these new sizes:James Casey's go-to for prone in most conditions is the 275/58, while for Downwinding he prefers the 300/61. The 300/61 Progressive turns brilliantly, but has the added benefit of more pump-ability and predictability. If he has to contend with a fast mid-sized wave day, then the 250/56 is the one. Our wing-foiling team has been blown away by these small progressives paired with even the largest of the ART range, improving the turning performance of these larger wings and boosting speed significantly. These new Progressives look tiny, but the higher speeds that you achieve with them mean greater stabilising forces that don't come at the expense of maneuverability.
New for 2021, Narrow (only 60mm chord), High Aspect Ratio 7.99AR, flatter foil section, and 17mm winglets on the tips for more stability while hard carving. FAST and high performance.
It will take your ride to the next level.
Some of our pros love the 380 with the AXIS PNG 910 and the Crazyshort fuselage. It's also an amazing winging rear wing. No matter what your foiling sport is, the 380 will make it fast.Check out the video below from Huntington Beach, pumping and hunting for bumps on the above setup.

Refined profile.
The Takuma Carbon mast has a new profile redesigned to deliver perfect efficiency and maximizes comfort in flight. The refined profile guarantees high rigidity, eliminating flex and drag, working harmoniously with the full range of wing sizes.
The thinner, stiffer profile decreases frontal resistance and reduces torsion to deliver the smoothest of glides. This in turn increases speed, wing stability and control.
Variable chord.
The shape of our mast has been optimized for overall flexural strength and torsional stiffness. The “variable chord” is wider closer to the top plate which gives maximum strength and stability.
The chord gradually reduces in width and is much narrower at the joining with the fuselage, allowing for better glide, less drag, and more maneuverability. This combination also enables the foil to achieve much greater speed.

• Maneuverability
• Greater speed

Conic locked-in.
Secure airtight fuselage connection.
Maintaining a fully impenetrable connection with the foil, the new mast foot design improves lateral stiffness, securing a “one welded piece“ feeling between fuselage and mast.
Aluminum fuselage.
Tough, strong, and streamlined.
The intelligent locked-in system avoids any movement between the front wing and fuselage. Helicoil screw inserts make for a completely secure back wing attachment. The overall hydrodynamic contour of the fuselage increases glide.
Transport cover.
High-quality protection for your Carbon mast with an innovative magnetic closure and elastic support for securing the fuselage.

Excellent rigidity for maximum performance.
The aluminum set up has been modified to be as compact as possible to reduce the amount of screws used.
We have designed an innovative top plate for added strength that incorporates our new simplified and more efficient board mount system. It makes installation quick and easy, allowing you to maintain exactly the same position, each time you reattach the foil.
The new fuselage design is more streamlined than ever. The mast has a new profile redesigned for efficiency and rigidity which minimises flex and drag and maximises comfort in flight.
Improved comfort with less flex.
The Takuma HD mast has been designed for increased rigidity, efficiency, and durability. Its increased stiffness results in a more reactive and comfortable sensation during flight. The redesigned profile of the HD mast is sleeker, stronger and more streamlined, eliminating drag.

The new HD fuselage is equipped with an intelligent locked in system to avoid any movement between the front wing and the fuselage. Its hydrodynamic contour is designed to increase glide.
HD aluminum top plate.
The HD top plate is lighter and stronger with added reinforcements for a better connection between the mast and the board. The efficient board mount system allows you to maintain exactly the same position, each time you reattach the foil.
