Flat, loose and fast, the new S208 Stabilizer is another high performance upgrade to the Sonar Foil System for experienced riders. The S208 has a higher aspect ratio than the S210, which means less drag, and the flatter rondure (front view) enables more manoeuvrability. As we’ve increased our front wing range, we’ve needed to match the lift force of the front wing with the stabilizer. While your front wing creates vertical lift, your stabilizer has a downward acting force, which prevents the front wing from nose-diving. A larger stabilizer translates into more front foot pressure, while a smaller stabilizer equals less front foot pressure. The North stabs are mounted on top of the fuselage, which helps them to avoid turbulence from the flow of the front wing, creating a smoother ride. This top mounting also gives the rider an early breach warning - the stab pierces the water surface first, giving you a better chance of recovery before your front wing gets too high. Like the Front Wings, all Sonar Stabilizers are pre-preg carbon construction, ensuring optimal stiffness and direct performance. The thin profile section reduces drag, while the material properties help maintain structural integrity and rigidity. Stabs have a huge influence on performance. As you progress to smaller wing sizes, we recommend changing to a smaller stabilizer to be more manoeuvrable. Experienced riders will really feel the difference. Continuing the huge success of the AXIS 460 Carbon rear wing, was not an easy task. We kept the same chord, foil section, and wingspan of the original 460, but added a splash of turn down on the tips, similar to the Progressive rears.  This created a rear wing that is fast, stable, pumps unreal, and likes to turn with good carving performance. The rear Stabilizer’s main role is to maintain a level and stable flight path. But conditions and user preference may change what stabilizer angle feels the best (aka the sweet spot). Shimming changes the angle of attack (AOA) and controls the amount of downforce the stabilizer creates on the overall foil system - to increase the stabilizer AOA and front foot pressure, add positive shim. The smallest tweak in the AOA can improve comfort, reduce fatigue, change the cadence of your pump or the turning radius of your carve and increase/decrease your front and rear foot pressure without changing your foot position. Whether winging at speed, laying deep carves on a wave face or pumping and linking up swells on a downwinder – AXIS Power Carbon enters a new realm of control and connection between board and foil. It’s the next giant leap in foiling performance.  High aspect foils = higher loads on masts During early ART foil testing, our research team quickly realized that higher aspect ratios and broader foil spans applied more bending and twisting forces to the mast. So while ART foils were a game-changer even on our existing masts, we knew there was still huge untapped potential to be realized. And so began a whole new development project, and we couldn’t be more excited at the result. With a new power profile and carefully considered material selection and placement, AXIS Power Carbon delivers both superior stiffness with next-level strength. Opting for a one-piece design, we avoided the flow/drag and jointing issues associated with multi-part mast constructions. Additionally and more importantly, testing proves that maximum loading is concentrated close to the baseplate and this is why the mast tapers thicker at this point to handle the loads. Any joins or two-piece construction at this high load area would destroy the integrity of the mast.  A revised fuselage connection design maximizes the size of the attachment point to achieve a perfect fit to the fuselage reducing any chance of unwanted movement. The result is a positive connected feel, direct drive, immediate feedback and ultimate control. High aspect foils perform as they should, feel and control enter an entirely new realm.     The new High Modulus Carbon fibre used in our mast layup is considerably stiffer and stronger than the regular carbon fibre used in conventional constructions. Innovative, considered and balanced placement of materials in our proprietary production process paired with rigorous testing has delivered a breathtaking performance leap. Ride characteristics are so game-changing, that it’s been a struggle to get our team riders to return the prototypes after testing! Choose your Power level Our new masts are available in two models, the Power Carbon and Power Carbon - High Modulus, the latter providing additional strength and 35% more bend resistance than our industry-leading 19mm aluminium mast. With AXIS Power Carbon masts, riders will finally be at one with the foil. AXIS Power Carbon Masts have a new and greatly improved base connection design. While fully compatible with all existing Red & Black fuselage, a new installation technique/method is required, this involves simply inserting the mast leading edge first into the fuselage opening, then rotating the trailing edge down. By working on the lift distribution, arch shape, and other details, we reached a performing foil that can carve smooth curves on the waves and swells. The PHANTOM CARBON range is well-balanced and will satisfy a broad variety of riders thanks to its wide size range and huge potential. These foils have it all and do everything well: a satisfying glide, a great planing start, and amazing carving abilities. The PHANTOM 980 is the newest size in this range. The PHANTOM 1080 is the ideal front wing for surfing due to its speed-to-lift ratio that will allow you to keep up with the wave and surf it for as long as possible. It is surprisingly easy to use, but also provides incredible performances in speed, carving and pumping when needed. The PHANTOM 1280 provides a similar program to the 1480 but is more versatile. It carves better, goes faster, and is a good combination of planing and performance for wing foil. It is also suitable for lighter riders (< 70 kg). The PHANTOM 1480 combines efficiency and accessibility. Its lift allows you to glide endlessly while having fun thanks to its incredible maneuverability and stability. It is an ultra-versatile foil that will allow you to surf in waves < 1m50, venture downwind, wing foil, or even try dockstarts or wakefoil… It does everything well and will be there for you even in weak conditions. The PHANTOM 1780 offers the highest lift of the range. The program is the same as the smaller sizes, but this foil is more adapted for heavier riders (> 85 kg). It is a large and stable wing that remains highly maneuverable, and that will bring extra power in light winds. Built using the Monobloc structure with pre-preg carbon, the foils are both very light and strong. This setup brings improved load transmission and better stiffness throughout the different parts for maximum control. The TITAN connection allows to plug in either an aluminum or carbon mast, and the fuselage is split in two to facilitate transport. The PHANTOM CARBON 980 and 1080 are recommended with the C250 SURF or C250 FENCE. This stab has been thought out to perfectly exploit the power and abilities of these PHANTOM. Sharp and precise, it will allow you to gain speed and maneuverability, and to easily connect waves. The 1280, 1480, and 1780 are better suited for a C275 SURF stab. Progressive and versatile, this stab will bring stability, control, and confidence to your ride.          

The AXIS Progressive Rear Wings are perfectly paired with our HPS, ART, BSC and PNG wings. Mostly flat but with a very subtle downturn, these wings combine excellent speed with sensational turning. Who are the AXIS Progressive rear wings for?The AXIS Progressive rear wings are all round wings for intermediate and advanced riders paired with higher performance front wings such as HPS, ART, PNG and BSC front wings. You notice the difference in your first carve or gybe. Why did we design the AXIS Progressive rear wings?We got super hooked on the locked in, fast, stable feel of the AXIS Speed 380/60 and 420/60 rear wings, and still are for flat water blasting and racing for winging and big, fast waves for foil surfing. But we had a feeling we still had more to give our riders in the turning department. After several iterations and tweaks, the new Progressive rears have delivered it in spades.Medium aspect, with a thin foil section and subtle turned down tips, this new design rolls into the turn beautifully, feels fluid and loose, and also grips through the carve and transitions back out the other side with predictable control and positive acceleration. Even intermediate foilers will notice the difference straight away. It’s super well-behaved in rough winging conditions (just set and forget) and with the thin foil section, it’s still rewardingly quick. The Progressive rear wings will feel like a natural extension of your feet.Riders are finding the Progressive rears pair beautifully with our AXIS ART and AXIS HPS high aspect front wings, and they’ll work very well with any foil for riders looking to improve their turns and carves. (larger sizes for less experienced riders and larger front wing pairings) We obsess over rear wings, almost to the point that it’s a problem. We’ve tried to get professional help but the prototypes just keep getting churned out by our design team on a weekly basis, and we can’t help but test, analyze, pontificate, redesign – and on and on it goes. You may be thinking – why do rear wings matter? Aren’t they just stabilizers to balance the front wing? Well that’s what many thought too – in the very early days. We know that your rear wing can change your life.
