Flat, loose and fast, the new S208 Stabilizer is another high performance upgrade to the Sonar Foil System for experienced riders. The S208 has a higher aspect ratio than the S210, which means less drag, and the flatter rondure (front view) enables more manoeuvrability. As we’ve increased our front wing range, we’ve needed to match the lift force of the front wing with the stabilizer. While your front wing creates vertical lift, your stabilizer has a downward acting force, which prevents the front wing from nose-diving. A larger stabilizer translates into more front foot pressure, while a smaller stabilizer equals less front foot pressure. The North stabs are mounted on top of the fuselage, which helps them to avoid turbulence from the flow of the front wing, creating a smoother ride. This top mounting also gives the rider an early breach warning - the stab pierces the water surface first, giving you a better chance of recovery before your front wing gets too high. Like the Front Wings, all Sonar Stabilizers are pre-preg carbon construction, ensuring optimal stiffness and direct performance. The thin profile section reduces drag, while the material properties help maintain structural integrity and rigidity. Stabs have a huge influence on performance. As you progress to smaller wing sizes, we recommend changing to a smaller stabilizer to be more manoeuvrable. Experienced riders will really feel the difference. A new tail can have a big impact on your style.

Continuing the huge success of the AXIS 460 Carbon rear wing, was not an easy task. We kept the same chord, foil section, and wingspan of the original 460, but added a splash of turn down on the tips, similar to the Progressive rears.
This created a rear wing that is fast, stable, pumps unreal, and likes to turn with good carving performance. The perfect setup for all dock start, flat water pump, downwinding, wake, lightwind winging, and more.
If you don't have the AXIS 460 v2 rear wing in your bag of rear wings, you are certainly missing out. The AXIS 460 v2 carbon rear wing comes with its own AXIS cover, so your new AXIS wing is nicely protected.
We updated the graphics on this rear wing to show all the technical details you might be interested in (plus some):

Control

The AXIS Progressive Rear Wings are perfectly paired with our HPS, ART, BSC and PNG wings. Mostly flat but with a very subtle downturn, these wings combine excellent speed with sensational turning.
Who are the AXIS Progressive rear wings for?The AXIS Progressive rear wings are all round wings for intermediate and advanced riders paired with higher performance front wings such as HPS, ART, PNG and BSC front wings.
You notice the difference in your first carve or gybe.
Why did we design the AXIS Progressive rear wings? We got super hooked on the locked in, fast, stable feel of the AXIS Speed 380/60 and 420/60 rear wings, and still are for flat water blasting and racing for winging and big, fast waves for foil surfing. But we had a feeling we still had more to give our riders in the turning department. After several iterations and tweaks, the new Progressive rears have delivered it in spades.Medium aspect, with a thin foil section and subtle turned down tips, this new design rolls into the turn beautifully, feels fluid and loose, and also grips through the carve and transitions back out the other side with predictable control and positive acceleration. Even intermediate foilers will notice the difference straight away. It’s super well-behaved in rough winging conditions (just set and forget) and with the thin foil section, it’s still rewardingly quick. The Progressive rear wings will feel like a natural extension of your feet.Riders are finding the Progressive rears pair beautifully with our AXIS ART and AXIS HPS high aspect front wings, and they’ll work very well with any foil for riders looking to improve their turns and carves. As always, size your Progressive rear wing to your experience and front wing size. (larger sizes for less experienced riders and larger front wing pairings)
We obsess over rear wings, almost to the point that it’s a problem. We’ve tried to get professional help but the prototypes just keep getting churned out by our design team on a weekly basis, and we can’t help but test, analyze, pontificate, redesign – and on and on it goes.
You may be thinking – why do rear wings matter? Aren’t they just stabilizers to balance the front wing? Well that’s what many thought too – in the very early days. We know that your rear wing can change your life. Okay that’s not quite true, but it will significantly affect the ride characteristics of your whole foil set up.
Try the AXIS Progressive rear wings and you will immediately know what we are talking about.

The best part of the last 5 years has been the rise in hybrid development and crossover technology amongst sports. Nowhere is this more evident than in foil boarding. The hydrofoil has become the common denominator in all of the surf and wind sports today.
Therefore, it reasons that its important to have a hydro wing-set capable of crossing between sporting genres with flawless performance and capability. Enter the X Series™ wings from Cabrinha. The design of the X Series™ recognizes and exploits the most important features needed in all hydrofoiling genres. Lift, efficiency and control are the three pillars that drive the X Series’ high performance and buttery smooth ride.
Through a combination of outlines and wing profiles the X series delivers a smooth lift and stable flight with precise turning and control.
The X Series’ efficiency is enhanced by our all new Cab Fusion mast and fuselage ecosystem. The Cab Fusion is a redesign from the bottom up to remove any unwanted ‘play’ in the system while streaming the connection between the wings and the fuselage. The resulting increase in stiffness and reduction in drag puts the X Series wings into an all new class of hydrofoils.

Our new PX stabiliser range replaces our previous Range of P Stabs.
The stabs look almost identical; the only thing we've changed is the twist in the profile, from the root chord to the tips.Although this might sound insignificant, our team actually found that this small tweak improved just about every aspect of the P stabs.
Better pitch control, more manoeuvrability and improved pumping.
The PX sizes come in a slightly smaller surface area than the P.
PX160 replaces P165
PX175 replaces P180
PX195 replaces P200
Expect a little less front foot pressure when changing from the P to the slightly smaller PX. The PX pairs perfectly with our new Carve 3.0 range but can also be used with any of our other front wings: Glide, Glide 2.0, Carve, Whizz, specially if you want to improve the general performance of your foil for high speed winging and kitefoiling or when you are tackling bigger and faster waves.
The S483 can be used with any wave wing in our collection and will allow you to shorten the turn radius while maintaining a high entry speed and releasing energy during pumping.

This stabilizer was created to give freedom and speed to our big front wings.
The S483 can be used with any wave wing in our collection. The inverted tip design will allow you to shorten the turning radius compared to the S450 stabilizer, maintaining a high entry speed and releasing energy during pumping.
The development of the much faster-running ARTPRO wings prompted us to begin experimenting with reduced chord rear stabilisers to maximise this newfound speed advantage. With minimal span changes (just 7mm between them) and drastic chord reduction down to 55, 50, 45, 40 and 35mm, we found positive gains in speed, control, balance and feel. The Skinnies have inherited many of the same characterises that make our Progressive range so popular, like the precise feel and seamless turn initiation plus recovery. They are very low drag and free up speed and turning. Heavier riders and those less experienced will gravitate to the 55, 50 and 45 chord models, those who are lighter and or have greater experience might opt to reduce drag in the extreme and try the 40 or 35mm chord options. The Skinny rear wings inspire confidence by providing a more comfortable ride at speed, they reduce the normal buildup of front foot pressure that can be associated with high-speed foiling. They are a perfect match to ARTPRO foils, but keep in mind, your HPS, ART, PNG and even BSC, will equally benefit from the Skinny high-performance DNA.
The AXIS Carbon 500 rear wing is the most stable of our rear wings. Ideal for the entry level and all round riders, the 500 will make your ride as stable as it gets. Suggested as an all round companion to our larger front wings (1020, 920).
You can combine the 500 rear wing with either the Standard, Short or ULTRA Short Red Fuselages for quicker turning and looser feel.
When you purchase the AXIS 500 carbon rear wing we include an AXIS padded cover with zipper, in heather gray, and AXIS branding, for safer setup, transportation and storage.
