Der STASH wurde über mehrere Monate hinweg von unserem Wing- und Kite-Designer Ken Winner in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Downwind-Experten Finn und Jeffrey Spencer entwickelt. Das Ziel: ein Parawing, der nicht nur als Antrieb aufs Foil dient, sondern auch die besonderen Herausforderungen des Downwind-Foilings meistert – und damit das ultimative Flugerlebnis noch zugänglicher macht. Letztendlich geht es um das Gefühl des echten Foilens, wenn dein Parawing perfekt verstaut ist!  Single Skin vs. Double Skin  - Single-Skin hat einen höheren Auftriebskoeffizienten als Double-Skin, was mehr Leistung für eine gegebene Wing Größe bietet.  - Double-Skin bietet größere Flugstabilität, insbesondere bei höheren Fahrwinkeln.  - Single-Skin ist kompakter. - Single-Skin benötigt keine Entwässerung.  - Single-Skin mit Doppelskin-Tips entwässert nach einem Eintauchen viel schneller als vollständige Doppelskin-Designs.  - Single-Skin mit Doppelskin-Tips ist depowert stabiler, als vollständige Single-Skin-Designs.  Empfohlenes Board- & Foil Setup Erwarte nicht, dass Parawingen so einfach wie Wing Foilen ist! Das Balancieren auf deinem Board ist herausfordernder, ohne einen stabilen, aufgeblasenen Wing in der Hand zu haben, daher empfehlen wir, besonders bei deinen ersten Versuchen ein größeres Board zu verwenden. Das Pumpen auf das Foil erfordert mehr Beinarbeit. Wir empfehlen die Verwendung eines größeren Glide-Foils, wie es beim SUP Downwind Foilen eingesetzt wird. Ein großer Vorteil gegenüber dem SUP Downwind Foilen ist, dass du mit einem deutlich kürzeren Board, wie dem Skybrid, aufs Foil kommst – das ist die perfekte Wahl! Wenn du bereits ein Downwinder Board hast, wird das ebenfalls hervorragend funktionieren – besonders bei deinen ersten Fahrten. Die Bridle-Leinen sind dünn und können sich um Hände, Finger oder andere Körperteile wickeln, insbesondere wenn sie in brechende Wellen geraten, die wir empfehlen zu meiden. Sobald der Parawing Wind fängt und die Bridle-Leinen unter Spannung stehen, kann es schwierig sein, deine Hände oder Finger zu befreien, wodurch Verletzungen entstehen können. Bevor du auf das Wasser gehst, übe und verstehe, wie du den Parawing ins Wasser bringst, um die Spannung zu lösen. Die meisten Parawinger nutzen den Wing ohne Leash, um ein Verwickeln von Leinen und Bridle-Leinen zu vermeiden. Wenn du den Parawing loslässt, wird er eine Weile an der Wasseroberfläche treiben. The Ranger Parawing is a super short-bridled single-skin kite designed to get you up on foil using the wind, then pack away so you can foil hands-free using the energy of the ocean. It gives you freedom to surf the swell unrestricted, without a paddle, inflatable wing or kite in any location - lake, harbour, ocean or land. If you fall off foil, simply pull your Ranger back out and go. The Ranger features our North exclusive D-Rib technology to diagonally support the canopy for optimal load distribution, and reduce the number of bridles required. It also means the canopy remains stable when depowering the bar, and the parawing is responsive and reacts to subtle steering input. Another industry first is the Depower Tab, located within easy reach midway along the fluoro yellow LE Bridle line. The Depower Tab acts as a handbrake, allowing the rider to dump power from the kite, and the tab can also be hooked on the end of the bar to depower while riding. Colour-coded canopy and bridles allow faster visual reference when launching or running-out lines, while the black LE makes it easy to navigate the parawing for flight. The Ranger packs down into a lightweight slimline onwater backpack with additional straps and stash pocket to secure a deflated wind wing or second parawing on the water. The bag is designed so you can take one Ranger in the hand (4m), and two more in the bag (3m+5m), then change sizes to suit conditions or riding style, without going back to beach. The bag is close fitting to be able to duck dive with, drains quickly and features recycled polyester webbing straps, sized to fit over wetsuits and life vests. Already the parawing has opened up more Downwind foiling spots, especially for riders who are not paddle-strong, but have wind/kite backgrounds.
