The F-ONE Rocket Free Downwind was developed for the new generation of freefly and downwind disciplines where freedom is everything. Designed for pocket winging, K-Winging and SUP foiling, this board combines glide, volume and acceleration in an elongated shape that helps riders take off smoothly and ride with confidence in a wide range of conditions.
Longer shape for more glide and easier acceleration
Built on the fundamentals of the Midlength concept, the Rocket Free Downwind takes natural front-to-rear balance, stability and glide even further. Its longer shape and stretched outline increase glide and help the board build speed quickly, making take-offs easier and more efficient.
This added length gives riders an advantage in disciplines where take-offs are more demanding than in classic wing foiling, helping the board plane earlier and with more control.
Stable, efficient and forgiving in difficult conditions
A rear step and kicktail help generate speed quickly and make touchdowns smoother. The shallow cockpit keeps control direct underfoot without adding unnecessary thickness, while the width-to-thickness ratio is tuned to create the right balance between stability and acceleration, even when underpowered.
Compared to the Free Surf, the Free Downwind is a more stable board with increased thickness, a wider nose and bottom surface, and squarer rails. The foot pressure is slightly front-biased, following the feel of classic F-ONE boards. This makes it especially suitable for riders who prioritize stability and easy take-offs in challenging or choppy conditions.
Light bamboo construction with direct foil feel
Built with Bamboo Deck Construction, the Rocket Free Downwind remains light, strong and responsive while maintaining durability. The board delivers a very direct foil feel and precise control throughout the session, including at higher speeds.
The Twin-Tracks system with 90 mm spacing is compatible with all foils using a four-bolt top plate and allows enough adjustment range to fine-tune foil positioning for your preferred balance.
