The right balance between comfort and control Appletree 9ps full deck pad. Designed to give optimal grip in any situation. Barefoot or with boots, these pads will keep your board securely under your feet. We have tried and tested many grips and EVA formulas before finally releasing the Appletree 9ps full deck pad and we think it’s the best grip ever. It has just the right balance between comfort and control. This balance is super important when you want to feel the boards every move, but also want some damping from vibrations. Designed for kite boards, but equally at home on our surf foil boards, where that extra grip will give you a more powerful pump. Tech details The pads are 4mm thick medium density EVA with a grooved corduroy deck finish. It’s split into 9 pieces which can be sticked together or spaced out to match every boards outline. The middle 3 pieces are perforated to show the most of your custom board deck colour. The front and tail sections have a row of holes through the middle that perfectly match our insert spacing. So if you have an Appletree board with inserts, the pads are ready for them. The pad has the best premium 3M glue available so it will stay on your board. For now the pads are only available in full black.
the most versatile wing foil boardIntroducing the latest and greatest Appletree, The Appleslice V3, the most versatile wing foil board! Whether you’re ready to upgrade your ride, get your first board, or looking to fine tune your wave riding- and freestyle skills, the Appleslice V3 has what you need. From beginner to advanced rider the V3 is perfect for advancing your riding skills, it’s shaped for progression.Key design features Narrow and longer! Plus better low wind performance. The optimised rocker ensures super easy touch downs and early planning. We keep this “long and narrow” theme in the whole size range. So also with the bigger sized Slice’s, you can carve hard. Now also bigger riders can experience the same performance as lighter riders due to the finely tuned dimensions of each board in the size range. This new version of the Appleslice draws inspiration from the faster Skipper downwind and wing models Appletree makes. These shapes are longer with a smoother bottom contour to help water flow more efficiently so the board reaches top speed quicker. The bottom starts with a displacement hull design which forces the water to the sides. It helps the board come to the surface quicker in the low volume sinker sizes. After the displacement hull the bottom flows into a flatter middle section, which makes the Appleslice V3 much more stable than the Skipper boards. We pulled up the hard rail edge much further up towards the nose which helps with water release and taking off in lighter winds. When you hit the wave with the rail of the board the Appleslice V3 hardly slows down. To further help with wave performance, the tail of the V3 is quite a bit narrower than the previous version, this helps with the ability to turn in waves. The top rail has a small radius which gives it a nice wide platform on the deck, also this harder rail makes the board easier to grab.Foil placement flexibilityThe foil boxes in the Appleslice V3 are placed slightly forward and they feature the new Appletree’s long foil boxes for more foil placement flexibility.Placing the foil further in the boxes balances the board out and reduces swing weight. This helps with tight turns on the wave and on flat water. Moving the foil further back makes it more stable. Plus it helps with controlling the lift of the foil better. Including deck pad and insertsThe Appleslice V3 comes with comfortable pads with plenty of grip and a kick tail so you can feel where you are on the board. It has inserts in almost all imaginable positions. So you can fine tune your strap position to match your preference. New on the V3 are the off-set positions for your back foot. This gives you more leverage over the foil mast and that really helps in toe side turns when trapped in. Choosing your sizeThe Appleslice V3 comes in many sizes, from small and sinking 40 L to 60 L to higher volume boards up to 100 L and everything in between. We recommend the smaller sizes for accomplished riders that are looking for the pinnacle of performance. These sizes also work really well as a crossover surf foil board and for use with an electric assist foil, like the Foildrive. Going up in size, the volumes are sinkers for heavier riders and floaters for lighter riders. We have a long explanation video about which volume, sinking or floating, works best for which rider and weight range. Finally the floating volume sizes are great for intermediate riders who are looking to progress their riding but still want the stability and security that a floating board brings. Experienced riders will find these boards incredibly good in light wind conditions as the low wind release is exceptional.
Zapple: Designed for Foil Drive!Let us introduce to you the Zapple, a fully Foil Drive compatible board! The board was designed together with the Foil Drive team to make sure the board fits the Foil Drive seamlessly to minimize water turbulence. Its recessed layout reduces drag and keeps the battery weight closer to your feet, giving you greater control during tight turns and high-speed runs. Key advantages of the ZappleReduced Drag: The recess decreases surface area, significantly minimizing drag.Improved Weight Distribution: Positioning the battery closer to your feet enhances control, particularly in turns, by reducing the tendency of the weight to shift outward.Surface Skipping Capability: When motoring back to the lineup, the board can skim across the water without the battery box causing drag, allowing for smoother rides and higher prop placement on the mast.Enhanced Foiling Performance: The reduced likelihood of the prop hitting the water improves flow during non-motorized foiling sessions.Extended Battery Life: Lower drag optimizes battery efficiency, enabling longer foiling sessions. No more signal issues The Zapple effectively tackles one of the most common challenges: signal interruptions caused by water and carbon fiber. The Zapple has an advanced signal optimization, eliminating interruptions, even in demanding conditions. We designed a special nose for the Zapple, acting as a “signal window”. The antenna for the Foil Drive is located in line with the track, to help the signal pass into the board, so make sure the foam strips provided with your Foil Drive kit are packed in there, to avoid signal blocking by water. So as long as you have at least a part of the nose above the water and you pack the track with foam there should be zero issues! Get away with riding a small board The Zapple is available in three sizes: 38L, 46L and 54L. With the added power you can get away with riding a very small board. But the bigger sizes also make sense, as they make getting up in the flats easier and also will provide this extra security when doing downwinders far out at sea. The boards are essentially midlength models, with the foil placed quite far forward, this makes the extra length and volume less noticeable. Easy battery replacement Ensuring the trench is fully compatible with the Foil Drive battery was an obvious choice, as it eliminates voids that cause drag and drain battery energy. To add convenience, the Foil Drive team has developed special barrel bolts, making battery replacement as straightforward as on a board without a trench. Easy and seamless. (available soon!) Precision built: Foil Drive compatible board Our unique vacuum infusion technology we use on all our boards, allows us to make complex shapes with ease and ensure a very durable construction. We did a big test with all our board models and the Foil Drive, and we found that our 2024 midlength prone boards worked the best, by a long shot. So those were the starting points to add the recess to. Every aspect of this board’s design has been tested and perfected together with the Foil Drive Team, from its layup to the positioning of the foil box. Including a deck pad The Zapple comes with comfortable pads with plenty of grip and a kick tail so you can feel where you are on the board. Inserts for straps are available as a custom option.
Applino White-line The White-line boards are a selection of our best selling models and sizes. The Applino V2 kiteboard is one of these best-selling models. White-line means a standard build strength with no custom options and white in colour. You only have to choose the size, because we have already carefully selected the rest. White-line boards are available for order right now, in stock, with quick delivery worldwide. Check the tabs for advice on the size. Advanced strapless kiteboard If you are ready to step up your strapless kitesurfing game and, like Paulino, are driven and inspired by the power of nature, this advanced strapless kiteboard might just be your board! The Applino is designed to match Paulino Pereira’s style of strapless kitesurfing as much as possible. Explosive and powerful, yet stylish and smooth. Best for kiting in the waves or performing strapless freestyle tricks in flat water. It’s Paulino’s go-to board, a reliable partner in all conditions. It’s the ultimate advanced allround strapless kiteboard. For the V2 version we have worked extensively with Paulino to improve on an already amazing design. Perhaps the most distinctive feature of the Applino V2 is that it is so lively and snappy. Some riders may experience this as somewhat nervous, but for those who like a loose and snappy board, this is exactly what makes the Applino so popular! Board features Centre channel The first change we made is that we added a single centre channel on the bottom of the board, right between the feet. This increases the board upwind ability by reducing the rocker in the middle of the board. Making the board a bit more user friendly. When carving, the board follows the rail line which still has quite a bit of rocker, to allow for tight turns in the pocket. Double grab rails Another unique feature is the double grab rail. The Applino V2 now has grab rails on both the deck AND the bottom of the board. This gives an even better grip when doing board-off freestyle tricks. Outline and rocker The rocker is moderate to high. With a single concave running into a V behind the front fins. All there to make the board loose and snappy while maintaining control. The Applino V2 is thin throughout with a slightly wider outline compared to a more traditional Klokhouse Noseless. This makes the rail bite a bit more so you can really put pressure on the board when initiating a jump. The wider front gives you an easier landing area. Kick in the tail The added kick in the tail helps loosen up the board and it also helps when landing reverse. Fin setup The Applino V2 comes with a thruster fin setup.
Klokhouse Noseless White-line The White-line boards are a selection of our best selling models and sizes. The Klokhouse Noseless is one of these best-selling models. All the advantages of a high performance surfboard but in a smaller package The Klokhouse Noseless is our most allround wave kiteboard. By removing the nose of the board, it becomes easier to throw around as there is less swing weight. Secondly, traveling is made easier as the boards will fit in most kite bags. The overall performance of the board is almost identical to the normal Klokhouse performance surfboard. It’s like kitesurfing on your everyday surfboard. The same flex, weight and feel that everyone loves when surfing, now available in a board that can cope with the board abuse that kitesurfing brings. Full carbon kite foil board The Mini Foil is our small and ultra light full carbon kite foil board. If you like cruising around and having the most fun on light wind days, this could be your board. All our foil boards are made of full carbon. There is no glass fibre hidden underneath the carbon fibre. Carving, pumping, looping or sitting down, this board can handle it! Key board features Easy to control We made this kite foil board super light and stiff, to give the best response. You can really feel the foils every move and control accordingly. Construction Our experience in building the lightest and strongest carbon kiteboards to now also build the lightest and strongest carbon foil boards possible. Our foil tracks are set in a thick honeycomb plate that evenly spreads the load from the foil to the board. The plate is sandwiched in carbon both on the outside and also on the inside of the board. This ensures a strong and reliable connection and gives the best feedback and energy transfer. Inserts for footstraps and comfy deckpads The mini foil comes with inserts. The inserts are set in both the V and straight line configurations. The deck is covered with a sanded 3mm black EVA pad. This pad gives reliable grip, but not too much, so it’s still easy to move your feet around.
High performance prone foil board The high performance Apple Skipper prone foil board: thinner, stiffer, more connected. Surf foiling rapidly evolves and so should your equipment. Advanced riders in our pro and ambassador team were ready for the next step in performance so we designed the Apple Skipper prone. Skipper concept The Skipper concept revolves around a new hull concept. The boards are thin throughout, giving a connected feel to the foil. Under the front foot, the bottom features a unique “bulge” that actually sits slightly lower than the foil box. This bulge displaces water upon touchdown and it makes the board “skip” back up. Ideal for foam bashes and more radical foil surfing. The Skipper prone features grab rails in the nose area, these really help holding on to the board when duck diving. Tight turns in the pocket The outline of the board is much narrower than the other surf foil boards we make. Perfect for tight turns in the pocket and harder carves without the risk of the rail touching the water and slowing you down. Finally the foil boxes are placed slightly forward and they feature the all new Appletree long boxes for more foil placement flexibility. Stick your landings There is also more rocker in the boards bottom, while keeping the deck as flat as possible. This helps sticking landings and it forces the board up when paddling in. You do lose a bit of early planing, but this is a board for experienced riders, who should be fine with a little less volume and paddle power. Lighter and advanced riders The lineup in the Skipper prone is compact throughout. Starting at a 4’5” in 28L. Ideal for lighter and advanced riders. Sizes up do not go up much in length, but more in thickness to gain volume. Stock sizes are 28L, 34L and 40L. In between sizes are available as custom orders. The skipper prone comes as “board only”. Inserts and pads are available as custom options. Dylan Wichmann on the skipper prone 28L: “Being much thinner than the other models, the connection to the foil is much more direct. I really like the outline, being narrower and having a more pulled in tail allows you to turn that much harder, without having to worry about a wide tail catching on the water.” “I also really like the rocker in the nose, while keeping the rest of the board flat. This means you will still be standing parallel to your foil but be less likely to have the nose catch on the water when touching down. I think all surf foil boards will start to look more and more like this model.”
Apple Skipper – Downwind and light wind wing foiling Introducing the Apple Skipper Down Wind foil board – the ultimate choice for experienced riders looking for a high-performance board in the exciting new sport of foiling! Carefully crafted with soft edges and a teardrop shape, the Skipper DW offers excellent efficiency and speed through the water. Making it remarkably efficient and easy to get onto foil lift speed. A must-try adventure It is truly something you have to experience for yourself. As soon as your paddle hits the water, or your wing catches wind, you feel the acceleration in the board. Before you know it, you reach the speed that your foil starts to engage. When this happens, the transition from gliding on the board, and actual foiling is hardly noticeable, as the Skipper Down Wind releases from the surface without much drag. The same happens when you touch down, the board just skips back up, without losing speed, so you can keep up with the wave you are riding with ease. Choppy conditions or open ocean swells Available in both narrow and wide versions, the Skipper DW is part of the Skipper concept of boards, with 4 boards tuned for the specific needs of each discipline. The wide version is perfect for choppier conditions with lower period swells, while the narrow, longer version is designed for speed and higher period open ocean swells. Also the Wide version is quite a bit more stable, so more suitable for beginner downwinders. Of course this extra width comes with an efficiency penalty, but it is still very fast. Down wind and light wind wing foiling Looking for an ultra light wind winging experience? The Skipper DW is an amazing choice! Especially the smaller sizes and the Wide versions are also great wing boards. By just changing the board, you can wing in 8-10 knots using a smaller wing and faster High Aspect foil. This means you can hit the water with almost any condition and boost your water time tremendously. The low drag design of the hull means that you can gain speed and build up the apparent wind until there is enough to engage the foil. Also, when you touchdown you hardly lose speed, so it’s easier to flow through patches of really light wind. Perfect for experienced riders While the rounded bottom and narrow outline make the Skipper DW less stable, it’s perfect for experienced riders who want to take their skills to the next level. Upgrade to the Apple Skipper Down Wind foil board today and experience the ultimate ride! Stock or custom With the black carbon look and white logos, the Skipper DW stock looks sleek and stylish, and is also available in other colours and tail dips at the normal extra charges. Please note that swirls are not possible due to the shape of the boards. FOIL CONSTRUCTION 50K CLOSED CELL FOAM It all starts with the core and every board we make starts with a foam core of our very own 50K closed cell foam. This foam is formalized exclusively for us, it is not used in any other board in the market. The foam can withstand 50.000 kg per square meter, while staying very light, and most of all very flexible. Another plus of our 50K foam is that it is closed cell, meaning that the foam will not take in water, and the board will not blow out when it gets hot. 100% CARBON FIBER CONSTRUCTION All our foil boards are produced in our 100% carbon fiber construction. You want carbon fiber in a foil board for its stiffness and strength. A stiff board will give you the best control and response from the foil. Also stiffness will make pumping the foil much more effective. With carbon fiber we are able to make the board extremely strong while really light at the same time. The most stress in a foil board is in the connection of the foil to the board. So this is where we put extra care and attention to make it the strongest connection available. The foil mount is CNC cut with the board, for the highest precision. We only use FUTURES oneshot boxes as they are the strongest in the industry. The boxes are placed in a panel of ultra high density PET honeycomb. This PET honeycomb itself is sandwiched in carbon again. Meaning there is carbon fiber both inside the board and outside. The honeycombs open structure ensures a solid connection between inside and outside, fusing everything together into a solid block. Our lamination is completely different as well. We use a vacuum technique developed in house, where we layer all the carbon fiber, and reinforcements on the board dry. Then we extract all the air from the bag and inject the epoxy resin under pressure. This results in the tightest lamination possible, with the best ration between fiber and epoxy. It also gives 100% connection to the core so the boards do not delaminate. Extra patches under the feet prevent heel denting. Inserts in our foil range are made from blocks of high density material. And can be customized position wise. These blocks are also fused to the core so they never pull out. Appleflap Noseless White-line The White-line boards are a selection of our best selling models and sizes. The Appleflap Noseless wave kiteboard is one of these best-selling models. White-line means a standard build strength with no custom options and white in colour. You only have to choose the size, because we have already carefully selected the rest. White-line boards are available for order right now, in stock, with quick delivery worldwide. Check the tabs above for advice on the size. High waves, high wind, high control The Appleflap Noseless is a modern approach to a more traditional wave kiteboard. Narrow tail with pinched rails for optimal control at high speeds and in bigger surf. With a decent amount of rocker so the board doesn’t nosedive when coming down a wave. A wave kiteboard designed for control when you need it most. If high wind and big waves is your playground, than the Appleflap Noseless is your perfect partner! The advantages of having a noseless board are clear. It takes a bit of getting used to not seeing the pointy nose, but less weight, easy travel and a slightly looser feel make the noseless version a good option. The back 2/3 of the board are exactly the same as if the board had a nose, including the rocker. We only added a slight flip in the stubby nose to prevent it from diving. Board features We flattened the rocker in the middle part for the board for better upwind capability and down the line speed. Single to double concave for control precision surfing. You will be amazed with how easy this board rides upwind, it is very easy to ride on the spot. Also when jumping, the narrow tail makes it a surprisingly stable platform to land on. Our team likes this board a lot for freestyle as well. Soo small and light, when the wind is strong, the control is very welcome during freestyle as well. You can really push hard on the tail, giving loads of pop and release. The Appleflap Noseless in meant to be ridden small and with power in the kite. Construction White-line Boards have FUTURES fin boxes as standard. The two side fin boxes are in teal color. The deck of the white-line boards are lined with the hex-skin single layer sandwich with an extra internal patch under the front foot. This construction has proven to be more than strong enough for almost all riders, especially with a deck pad. White-line is the best balance in flex, weight and durability for most riders.

Appletree’s allround kiteboard for small waves and freestyle. It eats anything you throw at it. The Malus Domestica is the product of a long search for the perfect crossover for guys who ride freestyle a lot, but sometimes find a wave to smash. The wider tail template and parallel rails make it very easy to ride. With a lot of direct response and it goes upwind like no other. The wider platform is stable to stick the hardest tricks and landings. The bottom features a unique triple concave, this makes the board very stable upwind and through chop and it prevents the board from sliding out landing sideways. Kite foil – wake foil – tow in foil and dock start The Apple Skipper Short is the shortest foil board of our Skipper concept range. It is a fantastic choice for riders who have some experience, and are looking to take their kite foil – wake foil – tow in foiling and dock start skills to the next level. Its minimal length and narrow outline, makes it an ideal choice for those who are looking for a high performance foiling experience. The Skipper concept revolves around a new hull concept. The boards are thin throughout, giving a connected feel to the foil. Under the front foot, the bottom features a unique “bulge” that actually sits slightly lower than the foil box. This bulge displaces water upon touchdown and it makes the board “skip” back up. Small and narrow The Apple Skipper Short is the small, narrow pocket board version of the Skipper concept. Its shape and construction makes it very responsive and stiff. The Skipper concept bottom shape makes the board just skip off the water’s surface. This design allows for more accurate and fluent pumping, so you can concentrate on your performance on the water. Lightweight, sleek and compact As a foil rider, you have certain expectations of your equipment. They must be lightweight, sleek and compact. And they have to offer exceptional performance in every situation, whether that’s when you’re riding waves or racing down the open water. Apple Skipper Short meets all those needs and more. It weighs just 2,5-2,8 Kg. Which is extremely low for such a stiff board, so there is minimal swing weight in the board. Crank those turns Compared to our popular mini foil model, the Skipper short is much narrower, so not as easy to ride as the mini foil for sure. But when on foil, you will feel increased stiffness and performance, and with a narrower outline, you will be able to carve the board harder and really crank those turns. Take off like a rocket The Apple Skipper Short is our lightest, most responsive foil board. As you pump and build up speed, you will take off like a rocket! And when you hit the water, the board does not slow down at all. It definitely skips right off the surface just as its name states. All Skipper Shorts come with inserts as standard, and they come equipped with a comfortable yet grippy eva deck pad with a kicktail so that your back foot is less likely to slip off when doing hard carves and aggressive pumps.
The world’s best allround surf foil board just got better! The original Pro-Foil is a proven favourite with foilers all over the world and the sport is growing quickly. As surf foiling is developing, our design has too, and it’s now time for the V2 version of the Pro-Foil. The Pro-Foil V2 is the ultimate allround surf foil board. From paddling in steeper waves to tow-in sessions, as well as small mushy surf to wake foiling. The original Pro-Foil was the first boat hull bottom foil board that set it apart from the rest with super-efficient paddling and the best release from the water upon takeoff. The deep V bottom helps with touchdowns and whitewater bashing. V2 has been refined even more with a slightly elongated middle section in the bottom and a redesigned tail for an even better release. The rails are also thinned out a bit, which make them easier to hold on to at take-off and while duck diving. Negative Angle, Positive Feeling! The biggest innovation for the Pro-Foil is the new recessed deck with a slight negative angle of attack. We know this sounds strange, but hear us out! Firstly, the recessed deck is amazing for paddling as it ‘hugs’ your chest, allowing more control and power in your paddle. Once you have tried it, you will never go back to flat decks. The main benefit of the recess is we can now play with the attack angles of the board. A board with a bit of rocker in the bottom helps for better touchdown performance and easier takeoffs as it deflects the water down your board, and the rider upwards. This is the way you want to go, but the negative impact is your standing area on the deck will have an upward angle. This increases back foot pressure and is not good for foil control and makes pumping the board much harder. With the recessed deck we can increase the bottom rocker while keeping the standing area at 90 degrees to the foil tracks, but the fun doesn’t stop there… We can now also tune the angle of attack, and after numerous experiments, we have found that a slight negative angle vastly improves both the pump and the ride feel on a wave. The Pro-Foil V2 has a -0.3 degree negative angle between the standing area and the foil mast. Dings don’t have to be fixed right away Our trusted Appletree technology is at the core of the new Pro-Foil. Our high density 100% waterproof foam, combined with a PET honeycomb double carbon fused foil box means that it will never fail. Appletree’s foil boards are by far the strongest in the market. A sustainable board that you can rely on for many sessions over many years.
Apple Skipper wing: high performance wing foil board Experience the high performance Apple Skipper Wing foil board: slimmer, stiffer and highly fine-tuned. As wing foiling swiftly advances, particularly in wave riding, it’s crucial for your gear to keep up. Understanding that advanced riders are eager for cutting edge performance, we’ve designed the Apple Skipper wing to deliver just that. Skipper concept The Skipper wing is part of the Skipper concept of boards. 4 boards with the same design language, but tuned for the specific needs of each discipline. Ideal for foam bashes and more radical wing foiling in the surf. Tight turns in the pocket The outline of the board is narrower and longer than the Jazz and the Slice V2. This makes the board still relatively easy to ride and the narrow tail especially makes it perfect for tight turns in the pocket and harder carves. Without the risk of the rail touching the water and slowing you down. The bottom is fairly rounded and lacks a flat section. This makes the board harder to get to planing speed, but on the upside it releases better. The Skipper-wing is definitely not a beginner shape. It has been designed with the needs of experienced riders in mind. Smooth transition The teardrop shape, especially in the tail, makes the board release so well on touchdown and when you start to go on to foil, that you hardly notice the transition. There is also more rocker in the boards bottom, while keeping the deck as flat as possible. This helps sticking landings and it forces the board up when starting up. Universal Foil tracks The foil boxes are placed slightly forward and they feature the all new Appletree long boxes for more foil placement flexibility. The angle between the foil boxes and the deck/standing area is 0 degrees, meaning that the mast will sit at 90 degrees. This angle, combined with the long tracks make the board compatible with all foils on the market. There is no longer a need to move foil boxes to match certain foils. Crossover board The lineup in the Skipper wing is compact throughout. Starting at a 4’8” in 45L This is one step up from the Skipper-prone series, so the Wing range basically picks up where the prone version ends. The bigger prone sizes and the smaller wing sizes of the Skipper make great crossover boards that you can use for both wing and prone surf foil. Lighter and advanced riders Ideal for lighter and advanced riders. Sizes up do not go up much in length, but more in thickness to gain volume. Stock sizes are 4’8 to 5’2 and 45L to 75L. The maximum size is 75L as the board is purely designed as a sinker style board. If you are looking for a board that floats your weight, the Jazz and the Slice V2 are better options.
Jazz freestyle wing board You have caught the wing fever. And this addiction has got you pushing your limits. Way to go! We came to the conclusion that one wing board model therefore does not cut it anymore. Dedicated shapes are required to fulfil the demands of all you high-end riders. At Appletree Surfboards we are at the forefront of design and construction and spend all season secretly testing and developing new ideas with our international crew of team riders. Spark your desire to play! So we’d like to introduce the JAZZ, Appletree’s freestyle wing board! Whether you have just started with your first baby jumps or have already mastered a frontside 360, the JAZZ got you covered! Leave the beaten track, start improvising and let the wind and the moving mountains set the rhythm. Spark your desire to play again! Light wind board Living in an area with low or volatile winds and in need of a stable board? The Jazz will definitely have your back! Especially in the higher volume sizes, the Jazz is a great light wind board. Key board features Ultra-compact shape A shorter more compact shape means less swing weight resulting in quicker turns and easier rotations. We moved the wide point forward making it possible to still get the required volume in the board. Through the sizes, the length only increases by one inch, while the volume jumps up 10L, keeping the length short in the whole range. Front foot recess standing area A new and innovative feature of the Jazz is the recessed deck. This way we can keep the standing position at the right angle to the foil and at the same time we can add more rocker and volume to the front part of the board. The recess also provides an excellent and stable platform to stand. With the recess area running off into the tail we eliminate any water pooling in the deck. Elongated planing surface The bottom has a longer flat section around the foil connection. This vastly increases glide efficiency and improves low wind characteristics. Especially in the higher volume sizes, the Jazz is a great lightwind board. The abrupt edge of the tail helps a lot with release which is very important when landing jumps, as you want that instant deflection off the water’s surface. The Jazz bounces back up like a skipping stone thrown across the water. Soft frontal area In the nose, the Jazz has an increased rocker, again to aid with deflecting of the surface. But the rails are also more rounded to further help eliminate sticking to the water. Moving down the board toward the tail the rails form an increasingly harder edge. This makes the Jazz feel really soft on landings.
Flat water, waves or freestyle, you don’t have to choose! Wing foiling might just be the fastest developing sport in the world at the moment and within just a few short years, it has progressed so much. What was once slowly cruising back and forth, is now flips, spins, riding waves, down winding and racing too, and in everything from light wind to proper stormy conditions. Our most versatile wing foil board Why choose between flat water, waves or freestyle when you can do it all on one board? The Appleslice Wing V2 is an evolution of our popular Appleslice model although we have refined the shape quite a bit for version 2. The Slice V2 is primarily designed for both flat water and wave riding but that doesn’t mean you can’t jump and try freestyle tricks with it as it’s actually more than capable of that as well! (However, if you are after a pure freestyle board, have a look at the Jazz wing, Appletree’s freestyle wing model). Pick your size The Appleslice caters to a broad audience of riders. The range starts at a very low volume that can also be used as a prone foil surf board or for accomplished riders that can get away with limited volume. Going up in the volume range, the boards get increasingly easier to ride. And the range tops out at a 110L in 5’7 length, ideal for heavier riders in low wind conditions. Key board features Compact shape The Appleslice V2 has a relatively compact shape. It’s not as short as the Jazz, but still quite compact although the Appleslice is much narrower. This helps when wave riding and racing if you hit the water with the rail when racing upwind or making tight turns. Through the range the increments are around every 10L so we offer sizing that caters for everyone. Hull entry The entry shape of the Appleslice V2 is quite unique. It features a boat hull type bottom that quickly flattens out under the front foot. Similar to a race boat, this hull shape helps deflect the water when accelerating. It increases the efficiency of the bottom and you will notice that the board gains speed very easily, meaning you can comfortably ride a size smaller in volume. Elongated planing surface After the hull entry, the bottom flattens out to provide a stable planing surface. The tail of the Appleslice V2 is straight with a hard edge at the end. This bottom is ideal for accelerating and releasing off the water getting you on the foil quicker. The foil tracks are placed slightly forward to accommodate the use of newer high aspect foils that work better when placed more at the front. The rails of the Appleslice V2 are bevelled to help deflect the water on touchdown. Front foot recess standing area You will see our unique recess feature across the Appletree Surfboards foil range. This ensures that the angle between the standing area and the foil mast remains at 90 degrees, yet still allows us to change the angle between the bottom and the foil mast. You want the bottom to have an angle slightly over 90 degrees as this helps the board gain speed as well as deflect the board back up if you touchdown. What you do not want is to have the standing area over 90 degrees as it would give you the feeling of standing on a slope meaning you will have less control over the foil. Natural volume distribution The volume in the Appleslice V2 is distributed evenly over the shape, making it easy to balance when on the knees. Once on the foil, the board feels balanced and is easy to turn and manoeuver. In the bigger sizes, this board is very easy to control when you are still learning, while the smaller sizes allow the board to improve your riding.
Appletree x Glenn Pang Appletree Surfboards is proud to present our shaper collaboration with Majek foilboards from Oahu Hawaii. Majek boards are designed by legendary northshore shaper Glenn Pang, who has been shaping high end surfboards for the world’s best surfers for years. He has now turned (part) of his attention to foiling and this hasn’t gone unnoticed. You can see his boards under the feet of many great foilers and surfers. His shapes are now available in our proven appletree full carbon construction, taking them to yet another level. And they are now easy to order from wherever you are located, because we ship boards all over the world. Majek Burner midlength prone The Majek burner is Glenns midlength prone foil shape. Unrivalled paddle and wave catching ability. For prone paddle, wing and to use with an electric foil assist, like the Foildrive. Here is what Glenn Pang, the shaper of all the Majek boards, has to say about the model: The burner is tried and tested in the fast high period waves on the Hawaiian islands. With faster waves, you need a faster board, so I designed this to move through the water with the greatest ease. A deep recess deck “hugs” your chest and provides a lot of volume up front which gives even more paddle power. The foil boxes on the Burner are placed forward, so when on foil the length balances out and you hardly notice the added length. Take note of the scaling, the longer board is narrower than the shorter model. The longer size has more volume, but to further increase the speed performance, the width is reduced. Majek boards come in clear carbon and without inserts/deck pad as standard. They are made to order.

Beta prone foil board The Beta prone foil board is the next step in performance from the Alpha model. Geared for more of an advanced rider. Here is what Glenn Pang, the shaper of all the Majek boards, has to say about the model: Both the Alpha and the Beta have the same rocker. It has a slight rocker in the tail, so it’s not totally flat. The Beta has a slight double concave in the nose which helps with early take offs. It has a slightly wider nose compared to the Alpha which adds more volume up front also helping with paddling and wave catching. The tail is a little narrower than the Alpha which lessens the touching of the tail area when putting the board on rail. Overall the Beta compared to the Alpha will drive through the turns more and carry more speed. Overall the Beta is a worthy successor to the Alpha. All the Majek boards are made in our tried and tested full carbon composite construction. Featuring Appletree’s own waterproof foam core and longer custom foil boxes, giving you plenty of room to play with the position of the foil.
