A flexible shaft transfers energy in a more gentle way suiting long distance paddling and higher cadence.A stiffer shaft provides a more direct transfer of energy and suits larger blades and taller riders wanting to use full lenght shafts.When you cut a paddle shaft down to fit your size it automatically becomes stiffer, thus you may wish to choose a 42 mm shaft.   • The stiffness is measured by applying 30kg in the center of the shaft, supported at 140cm distance to measure the deflection in mm.• If the shaft bends, it shows a higher deflection resulting in more flex, compared to a stiffer shaft with low deflection.• The 35mm has the lowest flex,42mm has the highest flex.

WING BOARDING – voll im Trend und die Entwicklung in Sachen Manövern schreitet bereits schnell voran. Mit unserer neuen WINGBOARD Range geht es nun noch einfacher. Du siehst Fahrer, die direkt gut zurecht kommen und spielend leicht mit Wing & Foil unterwegs sind. Meist liegt dies am Material und an den Wing Basics. Unser Ziel war es, Boards zu entwickeln die früh abheben, jede Menge Balance bieten und sanft wieder in das Wasser eintauchen, bevor es zurück auf das Foil geht.   Der Shape Besonders für die ersten Schritte ist Stabilität gefragt. Mit viel Volumen in den Rails, der „Square Nose“ und der kleinen „Plattform“ am Tail bieten unsere Wingboards genau davon jede Menge. Durch die optimierten Fußschlaufenpositionen kannst du deine Füße möglichst nah am Foil positionieren. Die Wingboards werden durch die runde Nose sehr fehlerverzeihend wenn du vom Foil wieder auf der Wasseroberfläche aufkommst. Ein sauberes Eintauchen vermindert die Sturzgefahr erheblich und lässt dich schnell wieder abheben. Durch den optimierten Deckshape für perfekten Stand und Kontrolle kannst du deinen Fuß nah am Foil positionieren. Weitere Shape Highlights: Volumen genau dort, wo Du es brauchst. Durch die „boxy rails“ hast du ein wirklich kurzes und kompaktes Board mit jeder Menge Stabiliät unter deinen Füßen. Viel Volumen im Tail ist besonders bei so kompakt gehaltenen Brettern wie unseren Wingboards wichtig. Durch den flachen Tail Rocker nimmt das Board schnell Geschwindigkeit auf und lässt dich abheben. Dabei hilft auch der „Channel Bottom Shape“, denn das Unterwasserschiff wird zum Heck hin immer tiefer und hilft so beim Anpumpen um möglichst schnell und stabil abzuheben. Durch den speziellen CUTAWAY Shape im Tail kann sich das Board deutlich besser vom Wasser lösen. Außerdem wird das Drehpotential verbessert ohne dass die Rails das Wasser berühren. Durch die Fußschlaufen Inserts stehst du automatisch immer „am richtigen Spot“. Bei der Foil Position hat unser R&D Team nichts dem Zufall überlassen und so lange entwickelt, bis die perfekte Position für die Foilbox gefunden wurde. Dabei fiel auch auf, dass ein Tragegriff auf der Oberseite stören würde. Deshalb befindet sich dieser nun unten, das Board kannst du trotzdem sehr leicht tragen.
